Following an incredible sold-out launch during the Easter break, Croftdown Farm is excited to open our first official 4-Week Junior Farmer Pilot Program. Designed specifically for the local home-school community, this "Farm Taster" program provides an immersive, hands-on learning environment that aligns with NSW curriculum outcomes
Led by an experienced team in an immaculate setting, your child will move beyond the classroom to build confidence, practical skills, and a deep connection to farm life.
What’s Included in the 4-Week Journey?
- 🐮 Highland Fold Encounters: Observe our shaggy Highland herd. Learn about cattle safety, reading animal body language, and the science of rotational grazing.
- 🫏 Miniature Donkey Diaries: Hands-on time with our miniature and micro donkeys. Learn to handle and groom a donkey and discover their unique history.
- 📊 Practical Farm Skills: Engaging "Paddock Science" lessons including measuring feed and water, weather tracking, and land management.
- 🌱 Soil to Supper: Experience the magic of the vegetable plot, from soil health to harvesting seasonal produce
Session Logistics:
- Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Location: Croftdown Farm, Bathurst
- Term Dates: [Choose your day: Tuesdays (May 5, 12, 19, 26) OR Wednesdays (May 6, 13, 20, 27)]
- Capacity: Strictly limited to 8 Junior Farmers per session to ensure a safe, premium, and personalized experience.
Investment:
$140.00 for the full 4-week term.
Please note: To secure your spot, full payment is required upfront. We do not offer weekly casual bookings for this pilot program.
When booking, please select the Tuesday ot Wednesday option. You will notice only the 5th and 6th of May are active, choose which day and that books your four week session.
